Alisha Norton
God is in the details. This week I used a friend's Nikon D40 which was a lot more complicated then my Sony Cybershot. My photos were taking in Hamden at the Rose Garden and edited by PIXLR.

  1. Very nice series, Alisha. You are in nice and close and have done a beautiful job with the editing. I particularly like the ones with the darker background and the quieter light such as number three and four. Notice how the background is thrown out of focus with the D 40 lens. The delicacy of number four and the framing with the grid that is sharp against the out of focus background is wonderful.

The daylilies against the black background are particularly striking. The orange against the black and the quality of the editing is just right.

Same thing for the yellow lilies… I really like the water droplets on them and how you kept the tonality down without any blowouts.

The final two are quite nice but notice how in the very last one it's a little out of focus? You may have reached the limit of the lens's ability to focus in that close. Each lens has this kind of limit.

All in all a super job.
