Week 2 Introduction to Composition
All photos shot with Canon 6D, edited in Photoshop CC
Location: Downtown - New Haven, CT
Excellent Tiffany! You have started the class off really well and your work should serve as a model for others in the class. You have looked closely at how light works powerfully in photography all the while focusing on structure and composition. Each is strong in its own right. Looking upwards in the building with the columns with projected light streaming through the patterned metal work is just how I hoped students would approach this... The circular cobble stones is well observed and fills the frame nicely.
The light streaming out from a lover in a brick wall (the next 2) and mixing with the evening light and devoid of people are strong as well.
My favorite may be the bench. I love the quality of light on the seat, and the way you framed it, being perfectly centered and perpendicular to the lines in the road which are perfectly parallel to the top edge of the frame. You have a very good eye.
